Here is a final game of the day for website visitors. For the record +/-0 asian handicap means draw no bet, so even you people that don’t really understand betting can have a go. We sent out a total of seven bets for today, so you can see summer won’t be slowing us down!

Newell’s Old Boys haven’t beaten Lanus in last seven attempts since 2013. Furthermore, they haven’t won this fixture at home since 2011, and Lanus won their last two meetings. Interestingly, the hosts received a red card on the last three meetings, and nine of the last thirteen matches ended with a player being sent off. It’s probably fair to suggest games between these teams can be bad tempered !

After looking like title contenders for much of the campaign the hosts lost every chance with four defeats from their last five matches. Following the defeat to Union De Santa Fe coach Diego Osella resigned, albeit he cited ‘’pay disputes’’ with club president Eduardo Bermudez has a major problem. Juan Pablo Vojvoda will take over for the remainder of the season.

With regards to today, an added issue for the stand-in boss is suspended players. The hosts won’t have Sebastian Dominguez, Mauro Formica, Sebastian Prediger or Juan Pablo Vojvoda available. Nehuen Mario Paz remains injured and Maxi Rodriguez is described has doubtful. On a positive note  Jose San Roman, Joel Amoroso and Facundo Quignon could return from injury, while Ignacio Scocco is now suspension free!

Lanus won 8 from their last nine competitive matches, and that includes three successive league wins. This recent success has seen the visitors rise the table into tenth, and that means they now occupy a Copa Sudamerica spot. However, with three matches remaining Jorge Almirón’s side are now looking for a top five finish. If successful that would mean a much more lucrative Copa Libertadores spot!

The visitors have a couple of players suspended this evening, namely Jose Luis Gomez and Ivan Marcone. Fernando Barrientos continues to serve is drug ban and Fernando Monetti remains injured. On a positive note Alejandro Silva returned from international duty, and Lautaro Acosta has been declared fit after recovering from an ankle problem.

The best part we saved for last, and that is this match will be played behind closed doors! Following their win against Estudiantes (1-0) in the last round, Lanus will believe anything is possible. Take the team of the moment!
